Application of this Cookies Notice
Our Platform use cookies to distinguish you from other users. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our Platform and also allows us to improve our Platform. By continuing to browse our Platform, you are agreeing to our use of cookies. “Platform” means the Cap Equity company administration and investor platform located at www.cap-equity.com.
Description of cookies
A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your device, your browser or the hard drive of your computer if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your device or your computer's hard drive.
Types of cookies
There are two main categories of first-party cookies on our Platform, which are “session cookies” and “persistent cookies”. Session cookies last for the duration of your visit to our Platform; they delete themselves when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device when you close your browser. Cookies are further broken down into four main types of cookies depending on their purpose:
- Strictly necessary cookies. Our Platform cannot function properly without these cookies. We only use strictly necessary cookies for their essential purposes unless you have given us consent for any other uses that they may have.
- Analytical/performance cookies. We use these cookies to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how users move around our Platform when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Platform works, for example, by ensuring that our users can easily find what they are looking for.
- Functionality cookies. These cookies are used to recognise you when you return to our Platform. This enables us to personalise our content for you and remember your preferences.
- Targeting cookies. These cookies record your visit to our Platform, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed.
Some of the cookies on our Platform collect data for more than one use.
Third party cookies
Please note that third parties (for example, providers of external services like web traffic analysis services) may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are usually analytical/performance cookies or targeting cookies.
Cookies and personal data
Cookies allow us to identify you and are therefore your personal data. If you would like to find out more about how we handle your personal data, please ask the Customer that has agreed to our Customer Terms of Service and that has invited you to the Platform.
Changing or turning off cookies
You can visit the “options” or “preferences” menu of your browser to change your cookies settings. You can block cookies by activating the settings on your browser that allow you to refuse all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser setting to block all cookies (including strictly necessary and therefore essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our Platform.
